Congratulations to Bronx Science Research Students Who Won Awards in Genes in Space Competition

Proposals from three 11th grade Research Student Teams, Benjamin Chen & Leanne Auyeung, Emilie Lin, Joanna Zhu & Thasina Tabassum, and Linh Luu , Edita Cosovic, Kanae Funabiki & Katelin Wu, were selected as semi-finalists from among more than 600 nationwide entries in the 2022 Genes in Space Competition. Two teams, Benjamin Chen & Leanne Auyeung, Emilie Lin, Joanna Zhu & Thasina Tabassum, and Linh Luu, were additionally awarded Honorable Mentions. Click the headline for further information.


Genes in SpaceTM is a national science competition inviting 7-12th grade students and teachers to propose a DNA experiment to be conducted by NASA scientists aboard the International Space Station.
